It was blue velvet at one time, which you can see on the back, but the front is very faded, stained, and is torn.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThere is a screw on the back the easily turns. You could take the casting out of the plaque if desired.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI have looked on the back, as well as on the back of the casting, and do not see any markings.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEither way, it’s a beautiful piece of history!
