Enhance your vintage collection with this enchanting, rare matching pair of Mid-Century Modern "Sugar Baby" Pixie Fairy Figurines. Made in Japan during the 1950s, these highly collectible bisque porcelain pieces feature the iconic textured "sugar" coating made from crushed glass frit/coralene beads, giving them a beautiful retro sparkle. One pixie wears a pastel sky blue outfit, while the other is dressed in a soft butter yellow. Both are designed in a kneeling position, adorned with delicate hand-crafted porcelain roses, hand-painted facial details, and matching gold-accented butterfly wings. Please note- these are pre-owned but in good overall condition. Some of the gold gilding on the wings has some faded spots. Aside from that there are no chips or cracks.
